Good Bye, Balestier Road! 再见,马里斯他路!

As some of you may have noticed by now, the Balestier address on our box is striked off. Many have asked whether 611's balestier outlet is still in operation.

Hence, I'm here to officially announced that we have consolidated the 2 outlets into 1! Now, our one and only outlet for now is at VivoCity B2-K10. Our lease at Baleslier was due in March 2007 and the Landlord decided to take the Balestier shophouse back for his own use.

Some hard-core fans of our Tau Sar Piahs were pretty sad to hear that we have to leave Balestier. They have been buying our Piahs from Balestier for many years. We have built wonderful friendships with many of them. We share our sadness with them as 611 Balestier was the place that gave birth to this delicious pastry baked from a secret family recipe. As of all businesses, it has been through both good and bad times since 1993 when it first opened doors. We are thankful for all your support and encourgement. It is because of YOU, our customers, that keep us going all these years ....

However, if we choose to look at it in a postive way, this move will be seen as a new opportunity and a new chapter in the spirit of 611 Tau Sar Piah and Pastries. With only 1 outlet in a vibrant shopping mall, VivoCity, we can focus better on churning out our delicious Tau Sar Piahs and pineapple tarts. With a location that is easily accessible by MRT/buses and the CBD area, customers like you do not have to worry about parking/traffic condition. ( you will know what I mean if you have been buying piah from our Balestier outlet).

With a new location, new things will come....... YES! We have exciting and interesting things up our sleeves. ( we are not going to reveal it now, but we promise you it will be soon........ real soon.... :p )

Keep a look-out for it! ( either here in our web blog or come down and visit us at VivoCity B2-K10!

See you soon! :)

Just wanted to share that I brought your Tau Sar Piahs to London to share with my non-Chinese flatmates. All of my flatmates unanimously said that it was delicious. I tried it myself, and the crust was buttery and crispy, and melted in my mouth with a wonderful taste... it's good stuff!
